Rose M BarronRose was born in Columbus, Indiana. Graduating with a BFA from University of Georgia she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and discovered photography and film. Rose obtained her MA Degree at Georgia State University in Photography.

She directed and produced a short art film Satyritown: SurREEL in Cabbagetown – accepted into the WIFTA and the Indi Grits Festival. She has worked on numerous sets with other directors and has previous acting experience in the film industry. Most recently she co-wrote the screen play Blood Raven” and is now directing the production of the short film in Atlanta, Georgia.

Her affiliations include Women in Film, IRIS International Centre for Women in Photography, Saatchi Gallery London, and Women Contemporary Artists. Speaking engagements include the Woman’s Caucus of the Arts, Opal Gallery, numerous colleges, and Espacio Común. Her work can be seen in numerous publications internationally. Including Shots magazine, Atlanta magazine, the Atlanta Journal, Creative Loafing, and Walker’s Point Center for the Arts catalog.
